Catrin Bawdrip was a daughter of Thomas Bawdrip of Odyn's Fee, near Llancarfan, by his first wife Jane Raglan, daughter of John Herbert alias Raglan (d. aft. 1482) of Carnllwyd, near Llancarfan, by his wife Catrin, daughter and heiress of Lewis Mathew of Carnllwyd by his wife Joan ferch Tomas ap Madog. John Herbert alias Raglan (d. aft. 1482) was a son of Robert ab Ieuan by his wife Joan, daughter and co-heiress of Wilcock Clerk (d. 1445) of Knoyles Place in Llantwit Major. Robert ab Ieuan was a son of Ieuan ap Tomas by his wife Margery, daughter of Gwilym ap Jenkin Grant by his wife Morfydd ferch Madog.
Granddaughter of Richard Adam (d. aft. 1516) of Castleton, near St Athan, by his wife Katherine Vaughan (d. 1520). After Richard's death Katherine married her fourth husband John Nerber, lord of Castleton, by whom she was the mother of Agnes Nerber (d.s.p. 1558) of Brigan.
Great-granddaughter of Huw ab Adam of St Athan [a descendant in the direct male line of Bleddyn ap Maenyrch (d. 1093), arglwydd of Brycheiniog] by his wife Tangwystl ferch Gruffudd, daughter of Gruffudd ap Rhys Llwyd of Porth yr Ogof in Ystradfellte [also a descendant in the direct male line from Bleddyn ap Maenyrch (d. 1093)].
Amy Adam Popham was a first cousin of William Evans, son of her aunt Isabel Adam by Ieuan ap Thomas Herbert of Llangattock.
