She was the daughter of Clinton Carr Davis and Margaret Nancy Anderson. She was preceded in death by a baby brother, Robert Benton Davis. Her other siblings were Genevieve Davis, Wayne Davis, and Stanley Davis.

She learned to fly in Sparks NV and entered to become a WASP at Avenger field in Sweetwater TX in June 1944, Class 44-W-9.

She was killed on October 16, 1944 on a cross-country training flight in AT-6 #41-16497 due to a ground collision near Walnut MS.


She was one of thirty-eight WWII WASPs killed while in the service of their country.
