ALBION - Kaleb Russell Luce, 17, lifetime Albion resident and Senior at Central Noble High School died on Saturday evening, March 9, 2013 resulting in injuries from a single motor vehicle crash on the Wolf Lake Road near county road 100 North outside of Albion.
Kaleb was born in Kendallville on April 24, 1995 to Jeff Luce and Tammy (Magnuson) Luce. He was planning to graduate from Central Noble High School this June and had plans of attending Indiana University to major in business and eventually wanted to own his own business.
Kaleb was a hard working, determined young man that did whatever he put his mind to. Kaleb was a young entreprenuer that never turned away from a challange, losing was not an option for him. He loved working in his large garden, he was a kind, loyal, all around, good young man. He was full of love for his family and friends and always had a huge smile on his face.
Kaleb was a good son, grandson, brother, cousin and friend. He loved to play tennis. At Central Noble High School he was on the soccer and tennis teams. His mom Tammy coached him in soccer for many years. He had a photographic memory and was a self taught auto mechanic and owned 2 cars he purchased on his own. Kaleb loved the outdoors and nature.
Kaleb had his first business venture when he was 11 years old reclaiming wire then at 12 years old he mowed lawn and at age 14 he was selling produce that he and his dad had grown in his 3 acre garden that he planted and harvested. Kaleb was already in the process of setting up and planning his garden for the 2013 season. He enjoyed home remodeling and helped his mom remodel her business, the Brick Ark Inn Bed and Breakfast in Albion and had been working on various remodel projects at his dad's home. He also worked at the Pizza Depot in Albion and QSI Automation in Merriam through the Central Noble ICE Program.
Kaleb and his family belonged to Stone's Hill Community church near Ligonier where he had became very active in the church and various programs.
He is survived by his Mother, Tammy Luce of Albion; his Father Jeff Luce, of Albion; Older Sister, Jessica Luce also of Albion. Maternal grandmother Judith Owen of Albion, Maternal grandfather and grandmother Richard and Deanna Magnuson of Albion. Paternal grandmother Kay Luce also of Albion.
Aunts; Chris Magnuson and fiance Charles Henard of Albion, Christine (Bill) Gisel of Kendallville.
Uncles; Scott Luce of Albion, Joel (Wren) Luce of Charlotte, North Carolina and Scott (Theresa) Perry of Albion.
Cousins; Korey Call, Masyn and Landyn Krieger; Summer and Jasmynn Call; David and Ronald Hamann; Deanna, Spenser, Bryan and Rachel Perry.
He is preceeded in death by his Paternal Grandfather Russell Luce in January of 1983 and his Uncle Derek Magnuson in December 2000.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11:00 in the Central Noble High School Auditorium in Albion. Pastor David Sheffield and Pastor David Hilbish will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Brazzell Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel. There will be an additonal 1 hour of visitation prior to the funeral on Thursday at the auditorium.
Preferred Memorials may be given to the St. Judes Research Hospital.

A 17-year-old Albion boy was killed Saturday night in a single-vehicle crash in Noble County.
The sheriff's department was called at 6:10 p.m. about the crash on Wolf Lake Road between Baseline Road and County Road 100 North.
Kaleb R. Luce was driving a Ford Explorer northeast on Wolf Lake Road. For an unknown reason, he went off the southeast side of the road, overcorrected, went off the northwest side and struck an embankment causing the vehicle to overturn. He was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Luce was the only person in the vehicle.
