Gideon Frank Reagin, Jr. 90, of Atlanta, died Saturday, December 4, 2004 at St. Joseph's Hospital, after a brief illness.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 7, at Horis A. Ward's Rockdale Chapel in Conyers. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
Frank was born in Atlanta on September 5, 1914 to Gideon Frank Reagin, Sr. and Bernice Durin Reagin. He retired from Williams Brothers Lumber and Concrete Company in the mid 1980's after 35 years of loyal service, Since their retirement, Frank and Reba have lived on a small farm in the Griffin/Barnesville area, until his recent illness. Mr. Reagin was a 50 year member of E.A. Minor Masonic Lodge of East Atlanta.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Rebecca (Reba) Forrester Reagin formerly of Powder Springs; children, Woody and Paula Reagin, Conyers, Sidney and Dianne Reagin, Conyers and Frankie and Chris Doughtie, Atlanta; 7 grandchildren and spouses, Stacey and Mike Jackson of Cookeville, TN; Steve Reagin, Decatur; Kim and Jimmy Metcalf, Douglasville; Phillip and Misty Reagin, Alpharetta, Sean and Michelle Doughtie, Dunwoody; Megan Doughtie, Atlanta and Joshua Doughtie, Atlanta and 6 great-grandchildren, sisters, Kathryn Adams, Aiken, SC; and Myrtle Johnson, Charlotte, NC; brother, Bill Reagin, CA.
