He was a U.S. Army veteran from the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Emma Brown; siblings, Russell E. Brown, Margaret Sharp, Esther Adams, Kenneth Brown and William Brown.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela (Danny) Goins, of Decatur; and son, Johnny Goins, of Rossville; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10, in the Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Avenue.
