"Mimi" Our dear wife, daughter, mother, sister, grand-mother, aunt and friend, Marilyn died peacefully in her sleep. She was taken by the Lord to be with her "Daddy" and other loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Kirby.
During her life she touched and influenced the lives of so many.
Professionally, she was a long time teacher at the Cesar E. Chavez Adult Education Center where her passion and pride was to help her students succeed in life. Prior to her teaching career, she was with the State Of California for over 20 years as a trainer and supervisor.
Marilyn always went the extra mile for everybody in her personal and public life, as a volunteer for the United Way, Kiwanis Club of Madera and the March of Dimes.
Don't Think Of Her As Gone Away, Her Journey's Just Begun
She is survived by her beloved husband, Randy; mother, Ramona Kirby; daughter, Michelle and her husband Joe; son, Brandon and his wife Joyce; daughter, Monique; bro-thers, Ron and his wife Debbie Kirby, Larry and his wife Pat Kirby; grand-children, Michaela, Mikenna, Brian, Kylie, Brandon Jr., Jade Elaine and Paris. She was truly loved and we'll miss her.
Visitation will be held at Farewell Funeral Service on Thursday, May 29, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at Northpark Community Church, 2297 E. Shepherd Ave., Fresno, Ca., on Friday, May 30, 2008, at 11:00 a.m.
