Kerry Ann Spradley Roark, 37, 1618 McFarland Drive, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 29, 2009 at Hospice Cleveland County. Kerry was born on October 18, 1971 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late James Norman Spradley, Sr. and Connie Marie Bergeron Spradley.
She was a 1990 graduate of Broad Run High School in Ashburn, VA where she was a member of the marching band and former member of Port Neches-Groves High School marching band. Kerry had previously worked at Gentiva Healthcare. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Lionel Bergeron, and Les Spradley.
She is survived by her children: daughter Tabitha Marie Gilkerson and son: Tyler James Gilkerson of Shelby, her husband, Charles David Roark of Shelby, her stepsons, Kris Roark of Greenville and Kyle Roark of Rutherfordton, her mother: Connie Spradley of Shelby, her brothers: James N. Spradley, Jr. and wife Deane of Lumberton, TX and Christopher Spradley and wife Tracy of Shelby, grandmothers: Mildred B. Benoit of Nederland, TX and Margie Spradley Leath of Arlington, TX, aunts Kathy Thompson of Leesburg, VA, Tina Morvant and husband Keith of Beaumont, TX, and uncle: Charles Bergeron and wife Christina of Nederland, TX and several other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and recite the Rosary on Thursday, October 1, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral mass to celebrate the life of Kerry will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Michael Kottar officiating. Inurnment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Groves, TX on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM
