Sep. 7, 1905 edition East Prairie Eagle:
Joseph Baker, brother of Samuel Baker, of near East Prairie, died at his home 2 miles southeast of Morehouse, MO. Monday last, after an illness of several weeks of slow fever. Dec'd was 50 years of age and a native of this county. He was a member of the Baptist Chruch. Internment Dogwood Cemetery. Joseph married Leanna Jane Pritchett about 1874 and had 8 children. James William, Mary Virginia, Minnie, James Albert, Dixie, Birdie Lee, Lillie M., and Cardelia.
