Moved from Cedar Grove aka Blackshear Plantation Cemetery. He was a son of Edward Blackshear and Emily (Amy) Goodwin Mitchell Blackshear.
James Joseph Blackshear was born in Pulaski Co., Ga. and died in Thomas Co., Ga. He married Harriett Jones on April 21, 1836 in Thomasville, GA. James Joseph Blackshear was killed in a cotton press accident on November 3, 1843 before the house was completed. His wife, Harriet Blackshear, completed the house.
