95, of Spring Hill, passed away peacefully Dec. 14, 2015 at Atria Evergreen Woods, Spring Hill. "Vera" as she was known by most was born April 20, 1920 in New York City, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, Biagio and Concetta Scocchio; her sister, Anne; brothers, Justin and John; and her nephew, Robert. She is survived by her sister, Lucy, 99, of Richmond, VA; several nieces and nephews and dear friends. Vera's family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Atria Evergreen Woods and Hospice of Hernando - Pasco County for the care and kindness shown Vera during the last several months. Inurnment and a memorial service will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY at the convenience of the family. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph's Center, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509. Arrangements are under the direction of National Cremation Society, Hudson Florida 1-727-847-4745
