To the many friends of Frederick Biehl the news of his death will come with sorrow. It occurred at 2 o'clock yesterday morning at the family residence, 814 Warren St., and came after an illness of several weeks. The deceased was born at Altmishen Kassel, Germany, March 22nd, 1827, and was at the time of his death over 73 years of age. He came to this country in 1849. During the Civil War he enlisted in the Union army and served throughout the rebellion as a member of the One Hundred and Seventh Regiment, O.V.I. His war record was of the best, and he bore well the sacrifices for his adopted country. He was for a time imprisoned at Libby prison.
He leaves a widow, five sons and two daughters. The latter are: Mrs. Wm. Knight, Cleveland; Mrs. Margaret Holl, North Amherst; Jacob A. Biehl, Sandusky; Lewis H. Biehl, Chicago; Chas. Biehl, Chicago; Fred Biehl, Sandusky; and Conrad Biehl, Kelley's Island.
