Mrs. Jessie Bell Fosbury, a former resident of this city, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. M. J. Kelly, at 6 Madison street, yesterday morning at 9:45 o'clock. Mrs. Fosbury had been ill since December 26.
The daughter of Elias and Emiline Brinkerhoff Eddy, Mrs. Fosbury was born in New York city on August 28, 1868. She had resided in this city a number of years, until two years ago, when she went to Los Angeles, California, to reside with her daughter, Mrs. Jack O'Brien, of that city.
She returned to Mount Vernon in October to make her home temporarily with Mrs. Kelly.
During her former residence in this city Mrs. Fosbury was a member of the First M. E. church.
Besides her daughters, Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. O'Brien, she is survived by a third daughter, Mrs. C. Gordon Veith of this city, a sister, Mrs. Marion Horton, of Sherwood Park, and a brother, Charles Eddy, of New York city.
The funeral services will be held at the mortuary of Burr Davis and Son on Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. Edward Staudermann, pastor of St, Paul's Lutheran church. Interment will take place in Kensico cemetery.
