Violet May Trainer, 82, of Yakima passed away on September 9, 2006 in Yakima. She was born on August 11, 1924 in Cour D' Alene to Ruben and Edna (DeHetre) Bailey.
Violet loved camping with her family in the Tampico area. She also enjoyed the water fights she had at her house. She worked at Del Monte and Ross Packin company as well as cutting fire wood in the Spokane area. Violet will always be remembered as a hard worker.
Violet is survived by her six children; Wilma (Joe) Gifford and their children Kevin, Joe Jr. Christopher, Craig and Leatha; Virginia (Steve) Hill and thier child Timothy Gillett; Wanita Hill and her children Charles II, Sandy II, Gary and Jimmie; Dorthy(Cecil) Kluth and their children Steven, Darrell Jr., and Mitchell; Betty Freed and her children David, Melissa, Michael, Ruth, Heather, Angela, and Jessica; and Pat Hale and her children, Delita, Kevin, Mickeal, and Nicholus; as well as 29 great grand children. Violet is also survived by her siblings Carol, Velma, Walter, and Ray.
She was proceded in death by two grandchildren, Charles and Sandy Hill; four siblings Viola, Viven, Ben and Leroy.
Visitation was offered yesterday at Merritt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 10 AM at Merritt Funeral Home 218 West 3rd Street in Wapato.
Violet is buried next to her mother Edna DeHetre near her brother Ben.
