Simeon Lutes, who was an old settler west of this place and a veteran of the civil war, died at the Soldiers' Home at Marion on Saturday last. His remains were brought here and the funeral services were held at Cook's chapel, a few miles west of Warsaw this afternoon. Mr. Lutes was well-known to many people as an upright, honorable man whose death will be mourned by his family and regretted by all his friends.
