My Grandmother Pauline was a very special lady.
As a child I remember going over and spending time at their little house, that had belonged to their Son who had moved to California, They had let my Aunt and Uncle live in the larger home that they had settled in back in 1924 in Sandy, Utah.
I remember the little fish pond, and flowers surrounding it, where grandchildren played and laughed.
I remember her sweetness, her compassion for people. I know when my grandpa died suddenly from a heart attack that it was hard on her. But she said he was always with her.
When the end came near for her. I believe she knew it as she had asked all of her children to bring the grandchildren over for Christmas Eve. On that night she opened her very special curio cabinet and told all of the grandchildren to get their item from it. She had put names on all the knick knacks for us children. We told her, "You do not want to give them away as then the curio will be empty." She just smiled and told us that she wanted us to have them now.
My grandmaother passed away a few days later. It is a memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Thank you Grandma for all the love, and understanding that you gave to all of your children and grandchildren.
WE ALL LOVE AND MISS YOU. REST IN PEACE.

Pauline and Judson met and fell in love in Davis County, Utah. Their first two children were born in Bountiful, Utah. They then moved to Byron and Lovell, Wyoming where 8 of their eleven children were born. Then in 1923 they moved to Lehi, Utah and their last son was born. In 1924 they bought a farm in Sandy, Utah and lived out their lives there.
The old farmhouse was turned over to their youngest son and they moved into a little house a few doors down.
In 2011 the old farmhouse and farm was sold and everything is now gone. The end of an era.
I LOVE AND MISS YOU SO VERY MUCH MY BELOVED GRANDMA.
A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ANNE FOR THE TRANSFER OF MY GRANDMOTHER
