Civil War Veteran Dies at Deadmond's Ferry
T. J. Brabham, veteran of the Civil War and member of the J. W. Geary post in Eugene, for twenty-seven years a resident of Lane County, died at his home at 2:50 o'clock. He was a member of company E, Seventy-seventh Ohio Volunteers, and served three years in the Civil War. He was born in Morgan County, Ohio, in 1830 and moved to Monroe County, Illinois in 186, and thence to Ellsworth county, Kansas, in 1877. He came to Lane county ten years later. Funeral services will be held at the Gordon & Veatch chapel in Eugene tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the I. O. O. F. cemetery. Rev H. S. Wilkinson, pastor of the Methodist church, will counduct the services. Mr. Brabham leaves four daughters and five sons, as follows: Mrs. J. T. Carpenter, of Monroe; Mrs. A. D. Graham, of Reserve; Mrs. W. Wilson, of Junction City; J. T. Brabham, of Eugene: J. H. Brabham of Deadmond's Ferry; O.W. Brabham, of Springfield; G. W. Brabham, of Junction City, and R. E. Brabham, of Santa Clara, besides on sister, Mrs J. McKinney of Marietta, Ohio (This is what was listed in the News paper some of the infomation was listed wrong the unit was H and he was born in Loudoun, County, Viginia not Morgan County, Ohio)

Thomas Brabham is a Union Civil War veteran having served in Company H, 77th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He was a member of Eugene GAR Post 7.
