Nora Lou (Henry) Garrett, passed away at the age of 75 in her home on April 22, 2005, after a short illness. Nora was primarily a homemaker with the exception of working at General Telephone in Purcell and Rouge and Dorsett Electronics in Norman.
Nora loved motorcycling with her husband and traveling extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada. She enjoyed oil painting and winter trips to South Texas.
Nora is survived by her husband, Sherman, the love of her life, of 56 years. They were married February 9, 1949 in Sherman, Texas. She is also survived by three daughters, Sharron Hoggard of Del City, Debbie Woodard of Deer Creek and Cathy Stalcup of Moore, one brother Ray Henry of Grove, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Georgia and Jasper Henry.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on April 25, 2005 at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Ponca City. The Reverend Ron Ledbetter, pastor, Sunset Baptist Church will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 N. Union, Suite 103, Ponca City, OK 74601.
