Anna married Christoffer Olson in Norway on 02 Apr 1848. They had six sons and one daughter before leaving Norway in May 1862. They sailed on the Nordlist arriving first in Quebec, Canada, then traveling to Detroit, Michigan and entered the United States. Continuing on, the family moved on to Janesville, Wisconsin and from there to Fillmore County in Minnesota. Three daughters were born while in Fillmore County and in 1866 Christoffer died of typhoid fever. Anna soon left with her family and traveled by oxen to settle near her brother Lars Christofferson in Norway Lake, Monongalia County (now part of Kandiyohi Co), Minnesota.
