Elmer Eugene Caldwell, 79 of Warm Springs, died Thursday, June 16, 2005, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Born Sept. 17, 1925, in Gatewood, Mo., he was a son of the late Ward and Ada (Oakley) Caldwell. He was a retired farmer and Army veteran of World War II. A brother, Charlie Caldwell, also preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Ethel Caldwell of the home; a son, Glen Caldwell of Warm Springs; a brother, LeRoy Caldwell of Corning; two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Burial followed in Warm Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers were Geoff Caldwell, Tim Wollos, Darrel Kester, Timmie Dobbins, Jessie Moore and Larry Cline. Promberger-Traw Post 4556 Honor Guard provided military honors at the grave site.
