Ina Day Redner, a longtime resident of Benavides, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. She retired after 13 years of employment at the District Attorneys office in Duval County.
Ina is survived by her husband of 50 years of marriage, Dan Redner of Benavides, Texas; two daughters, Lisa (Robert) Cervantez of Corpus Christi, Texas and Leslie (Mario) Soliz of Ingleside, Texas; five grandchildren, Matthew, Mikayla, Gavyn Solis, Nathan Redner and Tabitha Cervantez; one brother, George Allen Newton of Long Beach, California; two sisters, Jeannette (Wayne) Morris of Germantown, Tennessee; Lacy Newton of Batesville, Mississippi; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2011 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Benavides, Texas. Interment will be follow at the Piedras Pintas Cemetery.
