John Franklin Hunter, 59, of Memphis, employee of Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division for 38 years, died Sunday night at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Memphis Funeral Home on Union with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. Mr. Hunter was an Army veteran of World War II. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Janice Miller of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Patti Evans of Memphis; four sisters, MRs, Floy Bedgood of Rex, Ga., Miss Betty Ann Hunter of St. Louis, Mrs. Edna Hellums of Memphis and Mrs. Shirley Cogbill of Nashville; two brothers Joe Hunter of Dexter, Mo., and Jimmy Hunter of Memphis, and two grandchildren. The family requests any memorials be sent to the Kidney Foundation.
