JOHN H. CARNEY, JR., 82 of Memphis died Saturday, June 3, 2006 at his residence. He was a retired vice president/treasurer for Holiday Inn, a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp during World War II as a lieutenant and fighter pilot, was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, a member of the National Rifle Association and a University of Tennessee Alumni.
Mr. Carney is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances Garrett Carney; one son, John G. Carney of New York and two granddaughters, Jennifer and Lindsey Carney of South Carolina.
The interment at Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery.
