INDIANAPOLIS — Shirley J. , of Indianapolis and former Pendleton resident, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2008, her 73rd birthday, following a courageous battle with leukemia.
She was born July 5, 1935, in Fulda, Minn., to the late Roy and Jeanette (Symens) Sudenga.
Shirley is survived by her four children, Jeff Cash and his two children, Jason and Shannon; and four great-grandchildren; Randy Cash and his daughter, Brooke; Julie (Cash) Montgomery and her husband, Ron, and their two children, Kyle and Kristopher; and Brad Cash and his wife, Belinda, and their two children, Jacob and Zachary.
She is further survived by three brothers, Don, Roy, and Daryl Sudenga, and three sisters, Arlene Widener, Deloris Saari, and Marge Reitsma; and her engaged friend and life companion, Don Gilbert.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Sudenga; infant brother, Dale; and two sisters, Barbara and Esther.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory Lahm Chapel, Pendleton, with the Rev. Gerald Burnett officiating. Inurnment will be in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton, at a later date.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
