Victoria was in her third year as a first grade teacher at Sandy Hook School. She loved teaching first grade, starting out at SHS as an intern for two years. Through the course of her internship, she was a long term substitute in two second grade classrooms and one third grade classroom.
Victoria graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a degree in Elementary Education and History. She was attending Southern Connecticut State University for her Masters degree in Special Education. She had a passion for learning.
Living in her hometown of Stratford, she spent her free time with her black labrador Roxie. She loved spending time with her brother, sisters and cousins, reading books on the beach and soaking up the sun. She also loved flamingos and the New York Yankess.
Victoria was a victim of the tragic events which took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. She died a hero, valiantly attempting to protect her students.
