Carl Oscar Medin was the son of Pete and Mathilda Medin of Lindstrom. He was born March 10th, 1897 at Sunrise, MN. Private Medin left Center City, MN for Camp Grant on September 6th, 1918 and was assigned to the 20th Co Gp 2 M T D. He was sent to Augusta, Georgia where he died October 10th of pneumonia. His body was sent home for burial and the young soldier was laid to rest in the Almelund cemetery.
