A memorial service for Nelson E. Anderson, 53 of Thornville, will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 6:00 PM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home.

Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service from 5:00-6:00 PM.

Nelson was born in Newark on January 22, 1958 to the late Harry Nelson and Anna Lucille (Young) Anderson. He passed away on August 25, 2011 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center.
Nelson was a self employed carpenter. He was a lifetime member of the Newark Eagles Lodge and a former member of the Knights of Pythias. He enjoyed working on the farm, deer hunting and fishing.

Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie and Tonya; siblings, David Anderson of Hanston, Kansas, Jo Ann Dumott of Newark, Donald (Beth) Anderson of Buckeye Lake, Phyllis Boylan of Buckeye Lake, Dottie (Gary) Wilson of Hanover and Mark Anderson of Heath; step-father George McComb of Thornville; step-father, Joe (Peg) Schweitzer of Newark; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
