William and his brother Phillip were very close and sometime in the mid 1890's they moved to Jackson Twp. Sanducky County Ohio where both of them purchased homes within 150 yards of each other at Winters Station on SR 590. William worked at the carpenter trade for many years, he built a number of homes in the area and also helped build forms to pouor the Dam at Fremont. William also bought and cut timber in the area for many years. Will or Bill as he was called quite often was a great outdoorsman.
William possesed a very bad temper when he was treated wrongfully but he was a kind and considerate to his family and friends. He and his wife Amelia were very staunch church goers and read their Bibles diligently.
