William Allison Sr married Martha "Patsy" Alexander, the daughter of Capt Stephen Alexander on Dec 27, 1814 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. William and Martha had 8 children, only 3 survived by 1846. William and his family moved to South Carolina abt 1829. They returned to Mecklenberg, NC by 1845 when his daughter Anna Sarah Allison married. According to documents "Patsy" was deceased by then. She is mentioned in her fathers will in 1831 but was not living when her children received their inheritance from their Grandfather in 1846. The court document shows Elizabeth, their youngest child was an infant when Patsy passed away (birth of Elizabeth is 28 Nov 1833 according to her tombstone). Alexander Kin Vol 1 says a bible record states Martha "Patsy" died Jul 22, 1832 but it is not possible unless Elizabeth's birthdate is wrong on her tombstone. My guess is the bible record was hard to read and someone guessed 1832. If the date Jul 22nd is correct then the year has to be 1834 or later.
