Ocala - Michael J. Branick, 86, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2008, at Hospice of Marion County's Sylvia's House.
A native of Binghamton, NY, he moved to Ocala in 1983 after retiring from the New York Telephone Co. with 38 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he received a Bronze star medal and four Bronze service stars, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2009 of Ocala. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Ocala.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Marcia E. Branick; son, Michael L. Branick, Norman, OK; daughters, Judy Morse, Arlington, VA and Sheila Ball, Annandale, VA; sister, Helene Biesecker, Owego, NY: brother, George Branick, Walnut Creek, CA; two grandchildren, Kelly Macrae and Christina Kinnett, both of Arlington, VA; and one beloved great-grandchild, Margaret Kinnett.
He was preceded in death by his brother William Branick, and his sister Katherine Addis.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Hospice of Marion County, Sylvia's House, 2895 SE 62nd Street, Ocala, FL 34480, or St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Ocala.
