Anthony Alverson, age 13, a resident of Dover, AR, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at Ark. Childrens Hospital at Little Rock, AR. He was born on May 8, 1987 at Jacksonville AFB, at Jacksonville, AR, to John and Lisa Segur Alverson. He was a Student at Dover Middle School. He was preceded in death by his paternal Grandfather James Linza Alverson. He was a member of the Round Rock Church at Dover, AR.
Survivors include his parents, John and Lisa Alverson of Dover; a brother, Jonathan Alverson of Dover; paternal grandmother, Lois Alverson of Russellville; maternal grandparents, Larry and Jackie Segur of Clarksville; five uncles, Larry B. Segur of Clarksville, Eddie Alverson of Hagarville, Robert Alverson of Russellville,Tim Meimerstorf of Russellville,Bobby Curtis of Lamar; three aunts, Connie Segur Curtis of Lamar, Janice Alverson Meimerstorf of Russellville, Cindy Alverson Sage of Las Vegas; numerous cousins, family and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 28, 2001 at the Round Rock Church officiated by Pastor Charles "Chuck" Hefley. Burial will be at the Pollard Cemetery at Dover, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:30 PM Friday.
Anthony was a bright young man who loved to read,fish, camp,play video games,play on the computer,and hang out with his family and friends. Anthony was fascinated by boats of any kind. He wanted to learn how to sail but never got the chance here on earth. He sails everyday in heaven and I bet he is loving it. Can't wait till the day I get to sail with you son I love and miss you very much.
