John Fraser Jr. of Winfield for 37 years.
Funeral services for John Fraser Jr., 59, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton. Born Feb. 3, 1944, in Aberdeen, Scotland, he died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield. Interment will be private. John came to the United States when he was seven years old and grew up in Glen Ellyn. He was a 1962 graduate of Glenbard West High School. Mr. Fraser was a carpenter/contractor and owned John Fraser Construction, Inc. of Winfield. He was an avid bicyclist and a member of the ABD Cycling Club. John was also very active in the Winfield Historical Society. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Donna; son, David Fraser; daughter, Janeen (Erik) Ludwig; granddaughter, June Margaret Ludwig; parents, Jack and Margaret Fraser of California; sisters, Margaret (Dave) Woodrum, Rosemary (Richard) Jennings, Daisy (Patrick) Smith and Holly (Mike) Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, P.O. Box 161150, Austin, TX 78716-1150.
