Mary was buried by her son, Edward Thayer Stark, next to his own wife, Edith Morrison.
Edwin Merwin Lee. During the Civil War, Edward was commissioned a brevet general. After the war, as a CT legislator in 1867, Lee sponsored a bill for women's suffrage. Immigrating to WY Territory, he would became its Secretary. In 1869, he is credited with being the primary force behind the scenes women's suffrage, nearly 50 years before passage of the 19th Amendment.
Through newspaper testimonials, Mary aided in substantiating her brother's role in WY.
