Hugh Willard Campbell Jr., 23, died at 10 p.m. Sunday from injuries received in an automobile accident Sunday.
He was born April 21, 1944, a son of Hugh W. Campbell and Dorothy Grant Campbell of Lovingston.
He was a member of the Montreal Methodist Church. He was a corporal in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve, 4th Marine Division, Lynchburg.
He was an agent for People's Life Insurance Co. of Charlottesville.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Linda Lee Campbell of Lovingston.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Montreal Methodist Church at Shipman. Burial will be in the Lovingston Cemetery.
Sheffield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Campbell's body was discovered Monday on Va. 151 about 1 1/2 miles north of Clifford in Amherst County. His car was on the other side of the road, down an embankment in a wooded area, according to the investigating State Trooper Earl Marks.
