William Richard Geery, son of George and Pearl (Lewis) Geery, was born April 11, 1922, near Downing, and died Friday, May 11, 1990, at Madison, Tenn., at the age of 68 years.

He married Lois Smoot in 1941, and to this marriage four children were born.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Lanelle Baskett, Columbia, Mo., Lana Hunter, Lebanon, Ind., Steven Geery, Greenbrier, Tenn., and David Geery, Hendersonville, Tenn.; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; and four sisters, Vesta Hall, Lancaster, Glenda Kirkland, West Plains, Mo., Zena Singleton, Mexico, Mo., and Norma Jean Aldridge, Tuscola, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Versa Geery.

Mr. Geery served three years in the armed services, stationed in the Panama Canal Zone.

He lived in Queen City and Kirksville, Mo., before moving to Tenn.

Services were held Monday, May 14, 1990, in Madison Funeral Home, Madison, Tenn., with Bro. Steve Flatt, pastor of Church of Christ, officiating.

Interment was in Woodlawn East Memorial Park, Hendersonville, Tenn.
