Hannah was born in 1654 in Boston, in the Massachussetts Bay colony to William and Hannah Shattuck. She was joined in marriage at her parent's home in Monmouth County, New Jersey to Restore Lippincott on November 6, 1674. Restore was the third son of two time colonists Richard and Abigail Lippincott. Richard had immigrated to the new world and made a "Freeman" of the Massachusetts Bay colony in 1640 but returned to Plymouth, England after being excommunicated. In England he joined the Society of Friends and was there jailed for religious dissent. Restore was born in in Plymouth in 1653. That family had immigrated in 1663 to Rhode Island and in 1665 started the first English colony in New Jersey.
He farmed and held several public offices. They were members of the Society of Friends.
Hannah and Restore had the following nine children:

Rachel – 1695 – m. Zechariah Jess
Hannah Shattuck Lippincott died before 1729 and Restore passed away in 1741. At his funeral it was noted he and Hannah had upwards of two hundred children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, many of whom were present at his service.
Like so many other resting places of the very early colonists, the marker for this person's mortal remains has been lost or decayed away after almost three centuries of time and weather.
