Lieutenant Colonel Fred Vincent Cole, USARV, was attached to HHC, 20th ENG BN, 45th ENG Group, 18th ENG BDE, USARV ENG CMD. He started his tour in Vietnam on 7-28-1969. He was killed in action on 5-12-1970 when his helicopter was shot down in the Pleiku Province of South Vietnam. His name is on The Wall, Panel W10, Line 23.
