Aubry, Ruth Peick
AUBRY, Ruth Peick Passed away on August 3, 2006, after battling Alzheimer's Disease for more than six years. She was born in Minnesota in 1918, and married her first husband Charles Peick in 1942. They lived in the Midwest and the East until after the conclusion of World War II, when they moved to El Cerrito. Charles died in 1991, and Ruth married second husband Bill Aubry in 1993, and moved to Rossmoor. She was active in the PEO and Children's Home Society, as well as a variety of other clubs and organizations. She was a wonderful hostess and had many friends. She enjoyed dancing, playing golf, hiking, playing bridge, and socializing with friends and family. She is survived by second husband Bill Aubry of Rossmoor, her younger daughter Susan Peick of San Francisco, three grandsons, two great grandchildren, and three sisters, Virginia Soenke, Nan Kalbrenner, and Joyce Howard. She lost an older daughter Barbara Cave to cancer in 1990. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, at the Chapel of the Chimes, 4499, Piedmont Avenue, Oakland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
