Funeral services for Rudolph Florek, 66, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Ellers Chapel. The Rev. Isaac Phillips will officiate. Friends may call at the chapel after 2 p.m. Sunday.
Florek died in his home, Friday. He had been in ill health but death was unexpected.
He was born in Arnstein, Germany on Dec 20, 1899, to Theodore and Anna (Schaupp) Florek. He came to the United States as a youth and had lived in Kokomo since 1916.
In 1823, Florek and the former Miss Florence West, who survives, were married.
He was a retired contractor and a member of AFL Carpenters Local 734. He became a naturalized citizen in 1943.
Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. James (Betty) Schwartz Jr. and Mrs. Norma King; a son, Donald Florek, all of Kokomo; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a brother, Theodore, of St. Petersburg, FL.
Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
