Mrs. Deardorff died in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital at 8:30pm Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1981.
She was born in Tipton County Oct. 20, 1910, a daughter of William and Arelia (Warden) Shackelford. She was married in 1926 to James Green, who died in 1943, and was married Oct. 14,1950 to Marcus Deardorff, who died Aug. 28, 1979.
Surviving are four sons, James, Billy, Donald and Robert Green, all of Kokomo; two daughters, Barbara Gentry of Kokomo and Vivian Oglageo of Cutler; four brothers, Everett Shackelford of Kokomo, Roscoe Shackelford of Waupecong, Leslie Shackelford of Royal Center and Ora Shackelford of Bloomington; two sisters Edna Hunter of Denver and Nancy Moon of Kokomo; 23 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A brother and sister preceded her in death.
She had been employed at Chrysler Corp. before retirement in 1961 and was a member of the Forest Lawn church and United Auto Workers Local 685.
