Flossie Elma Bryant, 109, died Feb. 12, 1998, at the Village Christian Parke in Zionsville, Indiana. She was born Feb. 9, 1889, in Tampico, Indiana, the daughter of the late Jason B. and Amanda Olive (Shutters) Waskom. She was married to Porter Anderson Bryant. He preceded her in death in 1961. Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Whitestown, Indiana and was formerly active in the Northview Christian Church in Danville. She was a member of the Lizton Home Extension Club for 50 years. Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn E. Ramp and Martha O. Bymaster, both of Zionsville; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Services were Feb. 14 at Myers Chapel of Memories in Lebanon, Indiana with the Rev. David Bourne officiating. Interment was at the K of P Cemetery in Lizton.

Flossie E. Waskom (b. Feb. 9, 1889) was born in Jackson County, Indiana, the daughter of Jason B. and Olive (Shutters) Waskom. She married Porter Bryant on Oct. 21, 1909 in Danville, Indiana. They were the parents of two daughters, Kathryn E. and Martha O.
Flossie Bryant attended country school and high school at Tampico, Indiana, in Jackson County. She has resided in Hendricks County since her marriage in 1909 and lives on the family's 50 acre farm in Union Township. She has been active in the Christian Church all her life, serving as Sunday School teacher and superintendent.
After rearing her children, Flossie cared for her husband's parents and her widowed mother until their deaths. "Now I am in the sunset of life and my daughters and their husbands are caring for me." Flossie Bryant says.
