His father, Randolph Crowley was born in Missouri and his mother, Sarah Elizabeth (Oakes) Crowley was born in Tennessee.
He left Arkansas about 1893 and came to Washington where he worked on farms. 1900 he was single and had a farm at Sedalia, Lincoln County, WA.
He married Clara Johanna Pracht 27 December 1911 Spokane, Spokane Co., WA. They were both working on the John F. Green farm when they met.
They stayed on the Green farm for several years and then moved to Idaho for 7 months. They returned to Harrington, WA where they rented land to farm.

Jim Crowley died June 23, 1964 in the Lincoln Hospital at Davenport. James Manuel Crowley was born April 4, 1871 at Bentonville, Arkansas, to Mr. & Mrs. (Sarah) Randolph Crowley. As a young man of 22 he came to WA and worked on farms. It was here he met Clara Pratt & on Dec. 27, 1912 they were married. He farmed for J. F. Green, farmed the Jefferis land on rental & retired, moving to town.
Surviving Mr. Crowley besides his wife, is a brother, Jerry Norval Crowley, and several nieces & nephews.
