Katie Schleuse

Katie Schleuse, beloved wife of Eugene C. Schleuse, was united with her Savior Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, in Denison. Katie was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Stephenville. Katie and Gene were united in matrimony March 30, 1940. She was a resident of Lubbock from 1957 through 2002. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and was a member of Parkside Church in Denison.

Katie and Gene were the former owners of the White Pig Drive-in restaurant in Lubbock. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Eugene Schleuse; a son, David and wife Damon; a daughter, Donna Upchurch and husband Dale; grandchildren, Mike Schleuse of Atlanta, Ga., Brent Schleuse of Orlando, Fla., Debbie Schleuse of McKinney, Greg Carter and wife Jennifer of Plano and their two children, Greyson and Ashton. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at the Johnson-Moore Funeral Home Chapel, 631 W. Woodward St. in Denison, (903) 465-3345.
