Robert served as a Sergeant, Infantry, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Erie County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on February 21, 1942 in Buffalo, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the fabrication of metal products and also as Single, without dependents.

Robert was "Killed In Action" during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
