Pauline Dotson, 75, formerly of Wapello, died Sunday, December 6, 1998, in Phoenix.

Born July 24, 1923, near Sperry, she was the daughter of Carl and Ruth Van Nice Atherton. She married Phillip Dotson in January 1942. He preceded her in death.

She was of the Methodist faith. She moved from Wapello to Phoenix in 1952.

Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Clark of Phoenix, Penny Shannon of Cumming, Georgia, and Phylis Szpyrka of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley Atherton of Burlington and Elwyn Atherton of Mediapolis; and two sisters, Louise Stewart of Burlington and Myrtle Hoeg of Wapello.

The funeral for Mrs. Dotson will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Camelback Sunset Mortuary, 301 West Camelback Road, Phoenix.
