Russell Eubanks was the son of Edward Tracy Eubanks (1885-1963) and Mollie Jane (Jones) Eubanks (1887-1951).
His parents, who were both natives of Ohio (as was Russell), moved to Iowa in the 2nd decade of the 20th century. Three of their seven children were born in Iowa. Russell was the oldest of the seven.
He married Hazel Agnes Hamilton (1903-1992) in 1925. Their daughters were Mary Ellen (Eubanks) Jackson and Thelma Maxine (Eubanks) Edwards.
Russell and Hazel divorced and he remarried Anne K. Finnegan (1916-1967) in Peoria, Illinois, on March 15, 1946.

Russell Eubanks, 86, of the Morning Sun Care Center, died Monday, March 23, 1992, at the care center.
Born June 30, 1905, in Clinton County, Ohio, he was the son of Edward T. and Mollie Jones Eubanks. He married Hazel Hamilton. He later married Ann Finnegan. She died in 1967.
He grew up in the Newport community where he farmed and was a trucker. He worked at Caterpillar in Peoria, Illinois, and for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, California, retiring in 1971. He moved back to Iowa in 1985.
Survivors include one brother, Forrest Eubanks of Crawfordsville; and three sisters, Mary Hussel of Burlington, and Hazel "Sally" Garrison and Dorothy Taylor, both of Wapello.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a brother, and a sister. Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello.
The funeral for Mr. Eubanks will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home with the Reverend Ed Philgreen officiating. Burial will be in the Wapello Cemetery.
