Palmer Burreson was born in Bosque County, TX in the Neils Creek community. This property was sold in 1899 and the family moved to the Spring Creek Community on Branch Creek.
He was drafted into WWI while working with cousins in Montana at age 22 on 5 June 1917. He worked as a cook durig WWI.
Palmer was discharged from the Army in Oklahoma. This is where he met Mabel Burroughs. They were married 1 Aug 1923, Sulphur, Murray, OK.
They had six children: Dola Lee (born in Sulphur), Ruthhelen (born in Sulphur), Cathryn (born in Muleshoe, TX), Ralph Palmer (born near Cranfills Gap, TX), Cora (born near Cranfills Gap, TX) and Arazella (born near Plainview, TX).
After working in Pantex at the defense plant he moved his family back to Cranfills Gap, and moved to Waco in 1946 for health conditions following his work in the Defense Plant. In 1955 he moved to Killeen, TX and retired to Valley Mills, Bosque County, TX in 1959 to be near his brothers, Andrew and Otto.
Family was important to Palmer, he loved visiting and sharing stories. He would have loved the genealogy internet sites and hopefully the information he shared will be useful and enjoyed by others.
