Dollie is my grandmother that died when my dad was around 3 years old, and he had no memory of her. Daddy thought that she died from T.B. My Aunt Irene was around 8 years old at this time and stepped into the role of Mother for the younger children. My dad and Irene had a very special relationship with each other.
