Nancy Lee Dawson of Maple Valley died July 25, 1997, at Valley Medical Center. She was 66.

Mrs. Dawson was born Jan. 18, 1931, in Tacoma, and lived in the South County area for 30 years. She was a billing clerk for a trucking company. Mrs. Dawson was a member of the Eastern Star, a past matron of Laurel in Black Diamond, a past matron of the Delta Chapter in Tukwila and member of the Belfair Chapter. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, ceramics, dogs, crossword puzzles and helping her kids.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Ronald P. Dawson of Maple Valley; six sons, Gary Harpel of Redmond, Barry Harpel of Carnation, Bill Harpel of North Bend, Don Jones of Tacoma, Dave Lyonais of Maple Valley, and Bonz Hughbanks of Maple Valley; two daughters, Kathy Dodd of Ravensdale and Suzan Cantrell of Milliken, Colo.; a brother, Coy Dean Rohr of Kent; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
