Kevin was born in Powell,WY,where his father
at one time owned an automobile dealership.
His parents divorced and he went to live with
his mother in in Englewood,CO and his father
moved to Dallas,TX.Kevin was living with his
father in Irving,TX,when he enlisted in the
Marines 6 July 1967 at the Dallas Recruiting
Arriving in Vietnam 15 December 1967,Kevin
was assigned to Hotel Company,2nd Battalion,
3rd Marine Regiment,3rd Marine Division.Kevin
died of a gunshot wound from hostile small
arms fire at the South Slope of Hill 689,5
kilometers west of Khe Sanh Airfield,during
Operation Scotland II.
Kevin was single and served his country for 9
months and 15 days.KIA#26,045.
He had been in Vietnam for 4 months and 6
Kevin was 20 years,4 months and 22 days old.
Survived by his father;Francis R Cassell and
his grandmother;Mrs Irene Rathburn Cassell of
1112 Wentwood Dr,Irving,TX and his brother;
Gregory of 905 Portofine,Arlington,TX.
His mother;Agnes M Cassell of 293 W Powers Place,Englewood,CO.

Kevin was buried 1 November 1968.
