Mrs. Sara Burch Ratliff, age 92, of Wadesboro, died January 8, 1999 at Heritage Hills Nursing Home. Funeral services January 10 at Deep Creek Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Charles Cauthen, where she joined by letter from Elizabeth Baptist Church at Mount Croghan, S.C. on August 23, 1936. She had been a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church for 62 years. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
She was born July 27, 1906 in Chesterfield County, S.C. She was a daughter of William Franklin Burch and Annie Eliza Hendrick Burch.
Mrs. Ratliff attended the Ellen Fitzgerald School of Nursing. Much of her nursing career was devoted to the terminally ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lacy Ratliff on April 7, 1965.
